Overall Opinion:

DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer is a slightly above average retinol cream that helped improve the texture of my skin but didn’t help much with anti-aging at all.

The texture and feeling of DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer when you first apply it is very thick and rich, but as you spread it out on your skin, it spreads out really nicely and doesn’t feel thick or heavy.

This retinol moisturizer is really easy to use; it comes in a pump and you don’t need much product at all, just about 1 pump is all you need. The product leaves your skin feeling really soft and smooth and doesn’t leave any residue behind on the skin once it’s dry after about 20 seconds.

I didn’t see much difference to my skin after using DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer for a short period of time; my skin was definitely feeling softer but that’s about it.

After using DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer for a longer period of time, I noticed that my skin’s tone and texture felt much smoother and softer. It also helped moisturizer and plump up my skin. Unfortunately, I didn’t really see any improvements to my fine lines and wrinkles which is what I am really looking for when trying a new retinol product.

Overall, DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer helped improve the tone and texture of my skin, but unfortunately didn’t do enough for my skin in the way of anti-aging.

Detailed Opinion:

Texture/Feel

The texture of DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer is super thick and velvety when you first apply it on the skin, but it spreads out really nice and evenly and it doesn’t feel like it’s clogging your pores despite the thick texture. It leaves the skin feeling very soft and smooth.

Application

DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer comes in a bottle with a pump which makes it really easy to apply, and makes it easy to control the amount of product used. You only need about 1 pump for the whole face and neck.

Drying Time

Despite DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer being a thicker moisturizer, it dries really quickly within about 15-20 seconds and it leaves the face soft without any sticky residue.

Smell

One thing I really don’t like about DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer is it smells like plastic, but thankfully the smell doesn’t linger for too long once you apply the product.

Short Term Results

The short term results I saw after using DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer weren’t too noticeable. I felt that this retinol moisturizer left my face feeling really soft and smooth but there weren’t too many short term differences.

Longer Term Results

After using DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer for a longer period of time, I saw some improvements to my skin but there weren’t any big changes. My skin started feeling smoother and the texture and overall appearance of my skin looked smoother and more even. It also helped hydrate and plump the skin up a bit which can help a little bit with fine lines. But, I didn’t see any big differences in my fine lines and wrinkles at all.

Ingredients Analysis

DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer has a long list of ingredients of which many I didn’t recognize at all. A few ingredients I did recognize from the many retinol products I’ve tried, which are known to help anti-aging are niacinamide, safflower oil, and evening primrose oil.

First, niacinamide can significantly help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the skin. It helps increase protein synthesis in the skin which can help smooth out wrinkles and plump up the skin.

Next, safflower oil helps the skin fight off free radicals which attack the skin and can reduce collagen production. It also is full of antioxidants which can help reverse the damage done by free radicals.

Lastly, evening primrose oil is extremely nourishing to the skin and can significantly help smooth and plump the skin to reduce the signs of aging.

Together, these three ingredients could really help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and help prevent new ones from forming.

Price

The cost of DDF Pro Retinol Complex 3 Moisturizer is $65.00 for 1.7 oz of product which comes out to $38.23 per oz.

This is definitely a pricier retinol moisturizer.
