Overall Opinion:

I gave Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream 1/5 stars because it left my skin broken out and feeling irritated.

The texture and feeling of Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream when you first apply it on the skin are super thin and kind of sticky; it spreads out evenly on the skin but continues to feel sticky even after it’s applied.

This retinol product comes in a pump which I normally love, but it’s difficult to apply because the pump doesn’t work well and shoots out way too much product. And when I say shoots out, I mean it, the product goes everywhere.

After using Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream, I began to notice little breakouts all over my face and especially in my T-Zone.

After using Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream for a longer period of time, my skin continued to break out and was in general very irritated. It also did nothing to help with anti-aging of the skin at all.

Overall, Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream didn’t work for my skin at all and left me feeling disappointed.

Detailed Opinion:

Texture/Feel

The texture and feeling of Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream are a super thin cream that spreads out evenly on the skin but has a sticky texture that doesn’t really go away.

Application

Normally, I never complain about a retinol being in a pump… but Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream comes in a bottle with a pump that doesn’t work at all. The pump shoots out the product and it makes a huge mess. Not only is the pump messy and ineffective, but it lets out way too much product so it’s wasteful.

Drying Time

Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream takes about 45 seconds to dry on the skin after it’s applied, but even after it’s dried down, it leaves a really sticky residue on the skin which I really do not like. I don’t like feeling things are sticking to my face in the night due to my skincare.

Smell

Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream doesn’t have much of a smell to it at all, which I do prefer.

Short Term Results

After using Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream for a short period of time, it left my skin with little breakouts all over my face, especially in my T-Zone. I wasn’t happy to see the breakouts but I wasn’t going to panic yet since using a new product can sometimes cause a bit of a flare up but can go away once your skin gets adjusted.

Longer Term Results

After using Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream for a longer period of time, the breakouts only got worse and I noticed this product just really irritated my skin. Not only did it leave my skin with an intense breakout, but it also did nothing for my skin. There was no difference in my fine lines and wrinkles or even the moisture level of my skin. I was super disappointed with this product.

Ingredients Analysis

Despite Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream not working with my skin, it’s still full of a ton of good ingredients including organic aloe, sunflower oil, and hyaluronic acid.

First, organic aloe is very nourishing for the skin and has healing properties. These healing properties can really help with smoothing the skin which can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Next, sunflower oil is great for helping your skin retain water which can help plump up and moisturize the skin. It also contains vitamin E which is helpful for fighting off free radicals and fighting signs of anti-aging.

Lastly, hyaluronic acid is great for anti-aging because it helps keep your skin super plump and helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

These ingredients are awesome for anti-aging, and together they can really make a difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Price

The cost of Simplified Skin Retinol Moisturizer Cream is $15.95 for 1.7 oz of product which comes out to $9.38 per oz.

This is a pretty affordable price for a retinol cream.
