Overall Opinion:

Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol is a highly rated retinol cream, but I didn’t have the same positive experience with this retinol moisturizer.

The texture and feeling of Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol is very thick and heavy at first, but when you apply it to your skin, it spreads out evenly and feels pretty thin on the skin.

This retinol moisturizer is pretty easy to apply, although it does come in a jar which I don’t prefer. I think this causes the product to be exposed to too much air as well as germs.

After using this product for a short period of time, I noticed a bit of white heads popping up on my skin.

After using it for a longer period of time, my skin continued to break out and became more severe. After analyzing the product’s ingredients, I noticed there was coconut oil in this product which can be very comedogenic, so I think that’s probably what caused the breakouts.

Overall, this retinol cream definitely didn’t work for my skin, and I suggest anyone with acne prone skin looks into the ingredients before trying this product.

Detailed Opinion:

Texture/Feel

The texture and feeling of Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol are super thick and heavy in consistency. But, when you spread the cream out onto your skin, it becomes much thinner and gel like.

Application

The application of this retinol cream is pretty easy, although it comes in a jar which as we all know is not the best. Despite the product coming in a jar, it’s easy to apply and a little bit goes a long way.

Drying Time

Even though Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol is a bit of a thicker moisturizer, it spreads out very thin which makes drying time pretty quick. The product dries in about 20 seconds and it absorbs into the skin without leaving any kind of residue.

Smell

Buha Night Moisturizer doesn’t have too much of a smell, but it’s soft and pleasant and doesn’t last long on the skin which I prefer.

Short Term Results

After using this retinol cream for a short period of time, I didn’t notice anything too different about my skin other than I noticed a few white heads popping up on my face. My face also felt nice and moisturized.

Longer Term Results

After using Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol for a longer period of time, my skin was breaking out heavily. I had white heads and deeper, larger breakouts as well. When going over the ingredients, I noticed there is coconut oil in this moisturizer which can be comedogenic and cause breakouts… needless to say, it didn’t agree with my skin.

Ingredients Analysis

There are a lot of great ingredients in Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol and a few that I believe don’t work well with sensitive skin. We’re going to look at a few of those now such as aloe vera gel, coconut oil, and shea butter.

First, aloe vera gel is very healing to the skin and can help the skin with signs of anti-aging. Aloe vera contains properties that help rejuvenate collagen in the skin and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Next, coconut oil is an ingredient that people either swear by or swear against. It is known for helping restore moisture into the skin and reversing the signs of premature aging, but it can also lead to clogged pores and breakouts. When the coconut oil oxidizes, it can act like glue to the skin, clogging the pores which leads to black heads and pimples.

Lastly, shea butter is a great ingredient for anyone looking to restore moisture and life to their skin. Shea butter helps preserve the skin’s natural oils which can help fight off signs of aging and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

These are three very interesting and diverse ingredients that can either greatly help your skin or potentially cause irritation and breakouts.

Price

The cost of Buha Night Moisturizer Retinol is $23.99 for 1.7 oz of product which comes out to $14.11 per oz.

This is a pretty average cost for a retinol cream.
