BeautyRX Retinol Cream worked pretty well and definitely had more positives than negatives; I was impressed!
Let’s start with a few of the negatives… I really didn’t enjoy the texture of this retinol cream. It felt thick and sticky on the skin which is never something I enjoy in a cream. It also took a while longer to dry than most of my other retinols which isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s just kind of inconvenient. Lastly, I felt like you have to use a lot of product to cover the entire face and neck.
Like I said, the positives I saw outweighed the negatives so let’s move on to the positives… I actually saw a noticeable difference in the fine lines as well as some of the deeper wrinkles on my face! That’s huge. Not only did I see improvements there, but I noticed a big difference in the hyperpigmentation and dark spots on my skin.
Overall, I liked the benefits I saw from using BeautyRX Retinol Cream and it’s definitely one I would consider reaching for again.
BeautyRX Retinol Cream is a super thick and heavy retinol cream that feels kind of sticky as you spread it out onto the skin. The texture of this retinol definitely isn’t my favorite, especially because it’s sticky.
This retinol cream comes in a bottle with a pump and it’s easy to control the amount of product that is dispensed. Since it’s thick, you need to use more product than normal, and it definitely feels like the kind of product that is suffocating your skin. I used about 1.5 pumps to cover my entire face.
Since this is a thicker retinol product, it takes a little while to dry down and absorb, and despite being sticky, it eventually dries all the way down after about two minutes.
This retinol cream has no added fragrances and doesn’t have any offensive scents.
Short Term Results
Short term using BeautyRX Retinol Cream, I noticed a bit of dry skin especially around my chin and mouth, but nothing too bad. This can be a pretty standard side effects from retinol products.
Longer Term Results
After using BeautyRX Retinol Cream for a longer period of time, I actually was pretty happy with the results. I noticed a definite difference in the fine lines on my face as well as some of the deeper wrinkles. My skin was looking and feeling softer and smoother and was noticeably plumper. I noticed a significant difference in dark spots and hyperpigmentation on my skin as well! The only thing it didn’t really help with was the overall texture of my skin; I still noticed small breakouts and general clogged pores on my skin.
BeautyRX Retinol Cream is full of a ton of interesting ingredients and a few of them are vitamin B5, jojoba oil, and sunflower oil.
The first interesting ingredient is vitamin B5. Vitamin B5 is known for keeping skin very hydrated as well as softening and smoothing out the skin. It works to keep the skin moisturized by actually helping absorb moisture from the air.
The next ingredient is jojoba oil. Jojoba oil can help the structure of the skin cells keep their strength by producing more collagen in the skin. Collagen helps to keep our skin’s elasticity and keeps our skin looking firm and young.
Sunflower oil is the last interesting ingredient I looked at, and this ingredient can help protect the skin from harmful rays and light damage. It also helps protect the collagen and elastin in our skin so this ingredient really works well in combination with jojoba oil.
Together, these three ingredients could really pack a punch in helping to keep the skin looking firm and hydrated.
The cost of BeautyRX Retinol Cream is $14.95 for 1.7 oz of product, which comes out to $8.79 per oz.
$8.79 is a pretty average price for a retinol cream.
