Overall Opinion:
Unfortunately, Arvesa Retinol Skin Moisturizing Cream didn’t do much for my skin other than give it some hydration which was disappointing.
The texture and feeling of this moisturizing cream is a really nice thin texture that feels nice and hydrating on the skin. From the minute I applied the product, I could tell it was going to be hydrating. It comes in a jar with a pump which makes it easy to apply and use.
Something you’ll want to be mindful of if you’re sensitive to scents, this one has a really strong floral scent; it does go away, but it may bother you upon application.
After using this retinol cream for a short period of time, my skin felt hydrated. After using it for a longer period of time, that was still the only difference I noticed in my skin. Unfortunately, it didn’t do anything for my skin in the way of anti-aging. There was no difference in the tone and texture of my skin nor was there any difference in my fine lines and wrinkles.
Overall, this moisturizer wasn’t for me. When using a retinol, I look for more than just hydrated skin and unfortunately it just didn’t provide that.
Detailed Opinion:
Texture/Feel
The texture and feeling of this retinol moisturizer are really nice; it’s a thin cream that feels really soft on the skin like your skin is drinking up a glass of water.
Application
This retinol moisturizer comes in a jar with a pump. I love the pump, but I prefer when product comes in a bottle with a pump rather than a jar with a pump because you must swipe your fingers across the top every time which seems unsanitary.
Drying Time
This retinol moisturizer dries down quickly, within about 30 seconds, and it totally absorbs into the skin.
Smell
This retinol moisturizer has a super strong floral scent; it’s definitely not my favorite, and if you are sensitive to scents, you may want to keep that in mind.
Short Term Results
After using this retinol moisturizer for a short period of time, my skin felt nice and hydrated and moisturized.
Longer Term Results
After using this retinol moisturizer for a longer period of time, my skin still felt nice and hydrated but unfortunately that’s the only difference I noticed. I didn’t notice any differences to my fine lines and wrinkles or the texture and tone of my skin. It’s nice to have hydrated skin but I am looking for a lot more benefits from a retinol than a typical moisturizer.
Ingredients Analysis
There are a ton of great ingredients in Arvesa Retinol Skin Moisturizing Cream, but the 3 that stood out to me the most were propolis, vitamin E, and green tea.
First, propolis is a very interesting ingredient that I don’t often see in retinol moisturizers. Propolis is known for its healing and restorative properties. It’s supposed to help heal the skin as well as accelerate the rate of cell growth which would be great for anti-aging.
Next, vitamin E is known for its antioxidant properties. It’s supposed to help by preventing signs of premature aging as well as improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.
Lastly, green tea is also full of antioxidants. It is known for helping the skin by reducing inflammation as well as fight wrinkles by increasing the cell turnover rate.
These three ingredients can be powerful in helping the skin fight signs of aging.
Price
The cost of Arvesa Retinol Skin Moisturizing Cream is $17.95 for 1.7 oz of product which comes to $10.55 per oz.
This is a reasonable price for a retinol moisturizer.
Guarantee
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any money back guarantee for Arvesa Retinol Skin Moisturizing Cream.
