After it’s all said and done, Strivectin AR is one of our favorite retinol creams.
It’s very easy to apply and a little goes a long way. It spreads and blends quickly and easily on the skin.
The smell of this one is very light and fresh, which we like. You really don’t want an overpowering fragrance in your retinol cream!
The results we got with this product were very good, both short and longer term.
My skin looked and felt better– smoother and clearer than before I started using it.
The only downside to Strivectin AR is the extremely high price.
But overall, this is one product that works, and works well.
Strivectin AR comes out of the tube as a white gel.
It’s very slick and “light” feeling, so we’d classify it as more of a light-weight gel than a cream.
Like many of the top retinol products, this one was very easy to apply.
Because it’s so light, it spreads quickly and easily across the skin.
Keep in mind also, a little goes a long way. This isn’t a product that you need to apply thickly all over the skin.
Strivectin AR dries very quickly.
In fact, within a minute or two, it feels completely dry.
We actually prefer that to the wet, sticky feeling we’ve experienced with some retinol creams.
There’s a very faint, fresh smell that comes from Strivectin AR.
You can barely notice it however, once it’s applied to your skin.
Short Term Results
After a few uses, we liked the feeling Strivectin AR gave our skin.
It felt a bit smoother and surprisingly, a little better moisturized.
Longer Term Results
After awhile, I noticed my skin was starting to experience some of the benefits that retinol has been proven to provide.
It felt smoother, healthier and a little bit “tighter”.
And my skin just looked better– there was no denying that!
Strivectin AR actually contains two different forms of retinol.
It’s got straight retinol, which is a great ingredient, but also retinyl palmitate.
Retinyl Palmitate is a much gentler, but also much weaker form of retinol.
In addition to that, this formula has resveratrol, which has recently been popping up in skincare due to its antioxidant properties.
Lastly of note, there’s some green algae extract in there called Enteromorpha Compressa Extract. It supposedly helps soothe the skin and alleviate itchiness. Including this was a good idea by Strivectin as retinol creams can be slightly irritating when first used. We didn’t experience any of that with Strivectin AR :)
One small tube of Strivectin AR costs a whopping $109.00!
At a tube size of 1.7 ounces, that comes out to $64.11 per ounce.
Obviously, that’s very expensive for a retinol/wrinkle cream.
If you can afford it, you can take heart knowing the product works extremely well!
Strivectin AR comes with a pretty solid 30 day moneyback guarantee.
Although you do need an RMA, the guarantee is unconditional, which we’re big fans of considering the price of this product!
