Overall Opinion:

First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum is a really great retinol serum, and if it weren’t for the hefty price tag, I would have given it 5 stars.

When I first picked up this product, I wasn’t sure how it would work since it contains only 0.25% of retinol. But to my surprise, the retinol, combined with all the anti-aging ingredients, works wonders.

The consistency of this product surprised me because when you pump it out, it looks more like a cream and less like a serum.  But, as you work it into the skin, it feels like a serum and a little bit goes a really long way.

I love that this product is vegan, gluten free, and free of parabens, sulfates, fragrances, and other skin harming ingredients. I like knowing that what I’m putting on my face is not only going to work, but is also safe for my skin.

The results I saw from First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum were very impressive. It targeted my fine lines and wrinkles and helped maintain my skin’s moisture, and improved the overall brightness and texture of my skin.

Overall, First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum really works to diminish the fine lines and wrinkles on your face.

Detailed Opinion:

Texture/Feel

The texture of First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum is thicker than a lot of other serums in that is doesn’t come out like a liquid or an oil, but more like the consistency of a moisturizer.

But as you apply it onto your face, you realize as it spreads out, it’s definitely a serum and a little bit of this product goes a really long way, which is good since this product is so expensive.

Application

First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum is really easy to apply and use. One pump of this serum will cover your entire face and a half pump will cover your neck.

I absolutely love this bottle for traveling and sanitary purposes. The twist top to reveal the pump keeps air from contaminating the product and also keeps product from spilling during travel or in a bag.

Drying Time

First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum takes about 15 seconds to totally dry on the skin. Once it’s dry, it is totally absorbed into the skin.

This product leaves no residue or texture on the skin at all, which I really like. It makes me feel like nothing gross will stick to my skin from the air, or from clothing or bed sheets.

Smell

Something I love about First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum is that there is no scent. This product is totally free from artificial fragrances.

I love when there are no added fragrances because sometimes those ingredients can irritate my skin.

Short Term Results

I was kind of shocked at how quickly I noticed a difference in my skin when using First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum.

The morning after using this serum, my skin looked very nice; it looked hydrated, bright, and fresh.

Longer Term Results

After using First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum for a longer period of time, I was more and more impressed by this serum. Not only did it continue to hydrate and brighten, but I finally started noticing a difference in the pesky lines and wrinkles on my face.

I also noticed this product helped keep blemishes at bay, which for my sensitive skin is amazing, especially since sometimes these products can cause blemishes.

Ingredients Analysis

When I first started using this product, I wasn’t sure if there was going to be much of a difference in my skin because there is only 0.25% retinol in this product, which compared to others is not a whole lot. But, combined with their skin saver complex and peptides, this really did work wonders on my skin.

First, retinol of course otherwise known as vitamin A, helps to target fine lines and wrinkles on your face by helping with collagen production, and helps repair and prevent dry skin.

Peptides work to do what retinol works to do as well, create collagen in the skin with their chains of amino acids that help make the skin appear more youthful.

Lastly, their magical skin saver complex is used in a lot of their products. It contains a blend of hyaluronic acid, antioxidant vitamins, aloe, and other awesome ingredients which are meant to target maturing skin.

Price

The cost of First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum is $58.00 for 1 oz.

The price of this product is the only reason I gave it under 5 stars; it’s a really great product but I think the cost is definitely a bit outrageous for 1 oz of product.

Guarantee

First Aid Beauty Fab Skin Lab Retinol Serum has a 30 day money back guarantee, which is great since this is such a pricey product.
