Overall Opinion:
Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex was overall a good serum.
My biggest drawback with this product was the crazy high price tag.
In order to justify paying $152.00 an ounce I have to LOVE the product, and although I liked it, I wasn’t that impressed to go running out and buy another tube.
At first, I did experience some dryness to my under eye are, which can be expected when using a product like this. It made putting makeup on the first few days very difficult.
Over time, my skin got use to it, and I did see my dark circles and puffiness improve.
Each morning when I woke up I appeared to have a well rested look.
I did enjoy using this eye cream; however I was disappointed that for the price I didn’t see more of an improvement to my crow’s feet.
I would recommend this product, I feel as if it has many good qualities, however the price tag is tough to swallow.
Detailed Opinion:
Texture/Feel
This product has a lightweight feel to it.
At first it feels as if it’s going to be very greasy, however that is not the case at all.
It dries super quickly and feels like silk.
Application
Applying Dermalogica is simple.
After you cleanse your skin at night, you apply (make sure you pat it not rub it) a thin layer under your eyes only.
The tube says for the first two weeks to use every other night and then build up to using every night.
I experienced a little dryness at first, so I followed this rule.
Drying Time
This product dries quickly which is a plus.
No more then about 30 seconds after you apply you, it begins to absorb and soon after, it’s all soaked in.
Smell
Although not overwhelming, Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex doesn’t have the best of scents.
When you first pump it out, it seems almost fragrance free, but then you notice a really bitter scent.
It has a very medicinal, vanilla like fragrance, but also resembles the scent of dirty trash. YIKES!
However, it dissipates about 5 minutes after you apply, so it’s not terrible.
Short Term Results
After waking up the next morning after using Dermalogica, I didn’t notice much of a change.
The skin under my eyes did seem to be a little dry and it burned to attempt to put concealer on.
However I looked refreshed and rested.
Longer Term Results
Longer term I noticed a few changes to my skin.
I suffer from dark circles and puffiness, and I feel as if this serum helped.
I noticed that my circles did appear to be better over time, and my skin appeared tighter somehow.
I didn’t notice any change to my crow’s feet though.
Ingredients Analysis
Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex contains a TON of ingredients.
It obviously includes retinol, for the fine lines and wrinkles. I really didn’t notice a huge effect on my crows feet; however my eyes did seem dryer, which is a typical side effect of this ingredient.
Dermalogica also contains caffeine.
I feel as if the majority of the results that I saw came from this ingredient.
Caffeine is known to help tone and tighten skin, and improve with elasticity. These were the biggest changes that I noted while using this serum.
Price
A 0.5 oz tube of the serum is a very expensive $76.00, which works out to be $152.00 per ounce! That is a crazy high price tag and above average for sure.
Guarantee
Dermalogica offers a 30-day return policy from the purchased date.
So make sure you try it right away!
