Overall Opinion:
Amara Organics Retinol Cream didn’t do much for my skin, and I was disappointed in the results.
This retinol cream feels really light and thin in consistency, and feels nice on the skin.
It’s really easy to apply, and the pump applicator makes it easy to control the amount of product you pump out. You only need about half a pump for your entire face and neck.
Short term, I thought this product was nice on the skin and semi-moisturizing. I liked the light weight formula because it didn’t feel like it was suffocating my skin.
Over time, I was even less impressed with this product because it made my skin become dry and flaky. Still, I really didn’t notice any difference in my wrinkles or lines on my face.
Overall, Amara Organics Retinol Cream was pretty disappointing and I wouldn’t use it again for anti-aging.
Detailed Opinion:
Texture/Feel
Amara Organics Retinol Cream looks like it is going to be a super thick and rich cream when it’s first applied, but as you work it into your skin, it is actually very lightweight and soft.
The consistency is nice because it doesn’t feel like it’s clogging your pores or suffocating your skin.
Application
The application of Amara Organics Retinol Cream is easy; it is a small bottle with a pump applicator.
The only thing I’m not crazy about on the bottle is that the pump lets out way too much product. You really only need less than a pump to cover your whole face and neck.
The cream spreads out easily on the skin since it’s so lightweight.
Drying Time
Amara Organics Retinol Cream only takes about 20 seconds to fully dry on the skin.
When the product is dry, it still leaves your face feeling kind of moisturized and refreshed.
Smell
The smell of Amara Organics Retinol Cream is really soft and fresh, almost nonexistent.
The smell kind of lingers on your face, and you can definitely smell it for a few minutes before forgetting about it.
Short Term Results
I didn’t notice any short term results besides for maybe a bit more moisture in my skin.
There was no immediate difference in the plumpness of my skin or my fine lines.
Longer Term Results
Longer term I really didn’t notice much of a difference at all, although there was minimal flaking to my skin.
The more I used it, the less I found it to be moisturizing to my skin.
There was really no improvement in fine lines or wrinkles; there wasn’t any difference to the texture of my skin besides for flaking.
